Gallbladder 34
Gallbladder 34 — Yanglingquan “Yang Mound Spring”
The meeting place of sinew and decision.
Just below the knee, in a small hollow before the fibular head, lies a point that speaks fluently to both structure and will. Known as the influential point of tendons, GB34 is often called upon when movement falters — tight ligaments, stubborn joints, neuromuscular disharmony.
It restores elasticity where there is rigidity.
Coordination where there is hesitation.
Clinically, it is indispensable for musculoskeletal pain, especially along the lateral body — knees, hips, ribs. But its function does not stop at the physical layer.
In Chinese medicine, the Gallbladder governs judgment and decision-making— the ability to initiate, to choose, to act without internal resistance. When this system is constrained, the body may feel tight, and the mind may mirror it: indecisive, stalled, or hesitant.
GB34 gently reminds both body and mind how to move forward.
A point for when tendons and sinews and muscles become bound.
A point for when decisions do too.
